Lords of Incartum
Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated:
Lust Interactive Ltd develops, owns, and operates Lords of Incartum and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. This policy explains how we use information when you visit the website, create an account, play the game, or contact us.
For privacy questions or requests, email privacy@lustinteractive.co.uk. You do not need an account to contact us by email.
1. Our commitment to your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, or share it with organisations outside Lust Interactive Ltd for their own marketing purposes. Access within Lust Interactive Ltd is limited to people who need it to operate the service or deal with your request.
Running an online game also involves technical service providers. Limited information may be processed by those providers, including hosting and email providers, Google reCAPTCHA, and providers that deliver website files to your browser. We explain these uses below. We may also disclose information when legally required. Our commitment does not mean that no information ever reaches a technical provider outside the company.
2. Information we collect
- Account details: your username, email address, account identifiers, date of birth supplied during registration, and information needed to authenticate and manage your account.
- Game activity: characters, progression, inventories, transactions, rankings, and gameplay or moderation records associated with your account.
- Technical records: IP addresses, connection and login records, browser or device information received by our systems, and records needed to diagnose errors or investigate misuse.
- Support correspondence: messages, ticket subjects, attachments, and other information you choose to send us.
- Payment records, if purchases are offered: purchase details, amounts, transaction references, and information needed to deliver purchases, handle refunds, or meet accounting obligations. Payment providers explain separately how they handle payment credentials.
Please do not send passwords, full payment-card details, or unnecessary sensitive personal information in support messages or attachments.
3. Why we use your information
We use information to create and administer accounts, provide gameplay and account services, deliver account-related emails, answer support requests, maintain security, investigate abuse, correct errors, and administer any purchases. We may also use relevant records to establish or defend legal claims and comply with legal obligations.
Where data protection law requires a lawful basis, we rely on performance of our agreement with you for account and game services; legitimate interests for proportionate security, moderation, and service maintenance; legal obligations where applicable; and consent where it is required. We consider your rights when relying on legitimate interests. Agreeing to our terms or creating an account does not, by itself, subscribe you to marketing.
4. Who can receive information
We do not provide player databases or contact lists to outside organisations for their independent use. The following limited disclosures may nevertheless occur:
- Service providers: hosting, infrastructure, email delivery, and other providers may process information needed to provide their services. Where a provider acts on our behalf, appropriate data protection arrangements are required.
- Security services: Google reCAPTCHA processes technical information to assess automated or abusive activity. This can include your IP address and information about your browser and interaction with the site. See Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Website asset delivery: some scripts and styles are loaded from external content delivery networks, including jsDelivr, jQuery, and DataTables. Your browser connects to these providers, which receive technical request information such as your IP address. This does not require us to send them your account database or email address.
- Payments: if an official payment service is offered, the payment provider receives information needed to process the transaction and prevent fraud. Its privacy information will apply to processing for which it is independently responsible.
- Legal requirements: we may disclose relevant information to authorities, professional advisers, or courts where required by law or reasonably necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Information you choose to make public, such as character names, guild names, rankings, and public messages, may be visible to other players or visitors. Avoid including private details in public content.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser. They can help a website recognise a session, maintain account access, and protect forms. Similar technologies can store or access information on your device.
| Cookie or service | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
Account session: fluxSessionData
|
Keeps your browser associated with its control-panel session, including login state and account-service interactions. It contains a session identifier rather than your password. | The configured cookie lifetime is 48 hours. Server-side session validity may end earlier. |
Google reCAPTCHA, including _GRECAPTCHA
|
Helps assess whether activity is automated and protects account forms. Google controls its cookies and may receive existing Google cookies when its services load. | Controlled by Google; inspect your browser's cookie information for the expiry of cookies stored on your device. |
Account-session cookies are needed to provide the account features you request. We do not use this website's account cookie for advertising. Where a cookie or similar technology requires consent, we must obtain that consent before using it; reading this policy or continuing to browse does not itself provide consent.
You can view, block, or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking account-session cookies can prevent login or other account functions. Blocking reCAPTCHA or its scripts may prevent protected forms from being submitted. Browser controls do not necessarily erase information already received by a service provider.
6. Storage, retention, and security
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here. Retention depends on whether your account is active, the need to investigate abuse or resolve a dispute, and applicable legal or accounting requirements. Closing an account does not necessarily require immediate deletion of all associated security, transaction, or legal records. Backup copies may remain until their normal replacement cycle.
We use access restrictions and appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your login details private and report suspected account compromise promptly.
Some technical providers may process information outside your country. Where a transfer is subject to data protection restrictions, it must use an applicable lawful transfer mechanism and required safeguards. Contact us for information about transfers relevant to your data.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access your information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, and receive certain information in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal. These rights can have legal exceptions.
Email privacy@lustinteractive.co.uk to make a request, ask about retention, or raise a concern. We may ask for proportionate proof of identity to protect your account. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
You may also complain to the data protection authority responsible for your location. In the United Kingdom, you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). You do not have to contact us before exercising that right.
8. Children and changes to this policy
Players must comply with the age and parental-permission requirements described in our Terms of Service. If you believe a child has provided information without any legally required permission, contact us so that we can investigate.
We will update this policy when our use of information changes and show the revised date above. Where required, we will notify you of significant changes or obtain fresh consent before starting a new use of your information.
